A Credentialed Mental Health Nurse is a Division 1 nurse who is formally qualified in the area of Mental Health. Credentialing by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) recognises the qualifications, skills, expertise and experience of nurses who are practicing in this specialist field.

Frances currently works in private practice with clients who present with acute and/or chronic mental health symptoms and with those experiencing addictive behaviours. She works from an evidence based perspective with a focus on education, relapse prevention and recovery. She adopts a holistic approach to client care providing:

Initial assessment,

Risk assessment and management,

Psychoeducation,
-
Evidence Based Counselling (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Relaxation),

Medication monitoring and administration including Depot injection medication,

Family support and counselling
-
Connection to appropriate support services
-
Liaison with other health professionals

Her services include but are not limited to General Counselling, Stress Management, Domestic Violence Support, ADHD Support, Pharmacotherapy, Family Counselling & Addiction Counselling. Frances is also an NDIS Provider for clients with approved plans.
