Frances has many years experience working in the area of addiction, working with both clients and family members.

Frances currently works in private practice and has an interest in working with adolescents and adults who experience alcohol, drug and other addictive behaviours.

Frances works from evidence based perspective with a focus on psycho-education, harm minimisation, recovery and relapse prevention.

She adopts a holistic approach to client care providing; 

• Initial assessment which encompasses addiction, mental health and physical health history,

• Risk assessment and management

• Ongoing counselling and support (Motivation Interviewing, Mindfulness & CBT)

• Linking with appropriate detoxification, rehabilitation and support groups

In addition she provides support and counselling for families of addicted persons.
